World’s Tallest Woman Maria Feliciana Dies At Age 77

World’s tallest woman Maria Feliciana dos Santos, known as the ‘Queen of Height’, has passed away at the age of 77.


Maria Feliciana dos Santos, from Brazil, was regarded as the world’s tallest woman, standing at an astonishing 7ft3in.

Maria battled health problems for years. She became a household name in her native country after transforming from a normal 10-year-old to becoming Brazil’s tallest woman within a period of growth during her teenage years.

Her height of 7ft3in made her a household name in Brazil, where she was honored with statues and even had a skyscraper named after her.


Maria’s death was announced by her family, claiming she had passed away at a private hospital in Aracaju, where she had been staying since being diagnosed with pneumonia.

Edvaldo Nogueira, the mayor of Aracaju City where she lived declared a three-day mourning in the capital and paid tribute to the former singer.

“It was with sadness that I received the news of the death of Maria Feliciana from Sergipe. One of the tallest women in the world, I remember the first time I saw Maria Feliciana, I was still a child,” Nogueira said.


“Her presence caused a lot of movement. My condolences to family, friends, and admirers! May God comfort their hearts.”

Meanwhile, Governor of Sergipe, Fábio Mitidieri, said he received the news of Maria’s death with regret.

“Maria Feliciana left a remarkable legacy, having her name immortalized in the largest building in our state,” he said.
