Yadah speaks about her music, management, new album

YadahNigerian Gospel minister and worshipper, Agaga Praise Kukeurim professionally known as Yadah, hungers passionately for the sharing of the gospel. It is her dream that one day we will all come to the unity of faith. In her words, “My only message for the world is the one that Jesus left us with, and that’s to go to all nations preaching and bringing good news, hope that you can live forever when you accept that Christ died and was raised for you, a hope that transcends this world.”

Her music, which is pure gospel music, she said, is about Christ and his finished works from start to finish. “You will so see Christ in it, you will see Calvary clearly. My music is a blend of several genres but is highly influenced by traditional Nigerian music. It’s Afro pop, it’s RnB, it’s all of it blending and giving us a rhythm through which to pass our message. Good music to me is one that has rich sounds, passes a clear message and one is able to relate and resonate with. Good music should affect your emotions, should be able to take your mind through a journey and leave you satisfied or wanting more, whichever end it keeps me at, it’s good music.”

The growth of her career won’t be complete without the synergy with her management which she appreciates for the selfless works of love they have contributed to her promising career. “I would rarely say anything about a professional music career without giving credits to Sonshub Media whom God has used to hold my hands in the past few years of working with them. They have made me work hard, inspired me to be better each day and grow, helped me believe in myself even when there was no need to. They have seen talent where I didn’t, and harnessed even beyond my singing. I’m grateful to God for Sonshub Media.”

With a new album set to be released, more powerful ministrations is expected from her. Speaking on what’s to be expected of the album she said, “My new album is a body of work put together through many experiences, smiles and laughter, tears and all, High and low moments, you will relate with every emotion but will never miss the consciousness of God’s unending love and consistency. Expect songs that soothe, heal, convict, edifies, spurs you to endless thanksgiving and gives your heart light about God’s salvation plan. There are no collaborations on this album. I just wanted it to be my story, my song, my expression of gospel music, my art and all that God has laid in my heart. But going forward after this album, we have mighty collaborations coming.”
