Yoruba Stakeholders Summit Group (YSSG) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to zone their presidential slots to the South-South and South-East regions of the country to foster equity, unity and justice.

The group said it would be insensitive, self-serving and unjust for South-West politicians to be jostling to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

The convener of the group, Oladosu Rasaq, who stated this in Lagos yesterday, said the group was of the strong opinion and conviction that the southern part of Nigeria deserves the presidency more than the South-West for the sake of equity and justice.

Rasaq said the South-West region has had a fair share in governance in the present Fourth Republic and as such, should allow others.

On his part, the spokesman, Southern Nigeria Frontier, Olufemi Lawson, said those who have had a fair share of governance in Nigeria should allow others to do it rather than bulldozing their way to have it.

Also, Spokesman, Transparency and Accountability Group (TAG), Ayodeji Ologun, said it is time for Nigerians to begin to think that Nigeria is not just a country of just two straight lines but diverse ethnic groups.
