Presenting the cheque to the aspirant at a rally in Ikot Ekpene on behalf of the youths, Sir Emem Akpabio expressed confidence that Akpan remained the best option to actualise the new vision for the Akwa Ibom.
Akpabio, the chairman of the occasion and chairman of the campaign council, said Akpan did not go to the Senate to represent Uyo Senatorial district alone but the entire Akwa Ibom.
He recalled that when Akpan was the chairman of the Inter-ministerial Direct Labour project under Gov Godswill Akpabio, Ikot Ekpene people felt the impact.
While addressing the youths and his supporters Akpan said he would put in place policies and programmes that would take the masses out of poverty and alleviate the poverty of vulnerable citizens.
