Bayelsa microfinance DG, three others elected into WASME board

SMEThe Director-General of the Bayelsa State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, Mr. Ebiekure Eradiri, and three other citizens have been elected into the board of the World Association for Medium and Small Enterprises, (WASME).

At its 15th session held in India, recently, Mr. Ebiekure Jasper Eradiri emerged member of the governing board for the 2016-2018 tenure of the body.The election, which took place in Noida, India, also saw the emergence of Alhaji Babale Umar Girie, Dr. Dikko Umar Raddo and Dr. Ahmed M. Mohammed all of Nigeria as President and members of the governing board, respectively.

Speaking shortly after his election, Mr. Eradiri commended members of the global body for finding him worthy to serve, describing it as a call to greater service.

He pledged his commitment to work hard as well as produce the needed results to justify the confidence reposed in him, stressing that he would bring his wealth of experience in microfinance enterprise management to bear in his new assignment.

According to him, his membership of the board of WASME will also afford him the opportunity to cross-pollinate ideas with experts from other parts of the world, with a view to also ensuring that, such interactions impact positively on the current efforts of the Bayelsa State Government to develop and encourage medium and small scale enterprise businesses across the state.
