Former Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi

Former Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, yesterday emerged the new National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was elected having being nominated by the North Central zone of the party.Abdullahi, also an erstwhile Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology in Kwara State succeeds fellow Kwajalein indigene, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who is the current Minister of Information and Culture.


Mohammed’s departure had created a succession problem between Timi Frank and the party’s leadership led by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, making the Bayelsa native to challenge his non-recognition in court.However, the South South zonal branch of the party last month suspended him for alleged anti-party activities.
