Buhari, Ekweremadu, Dogara condole with Ndoma-Egba over mother’s death
President Muhammadu Buhari and other national leaders have condoled with the family of Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba over the death of his mother, Adeline.
Represented by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, Buhari expressed the condolence during her burial at the weekend.
The late Adeline died at the age of 92 years and was buried in Akparabong, in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The president urged the family to thank God that the matriarch lived a fulfilled life, and left enviable legacies for the younger generations
The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, also condoled with the family on the loss of the matriarch.
He encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that she lived to a ripe old age, and had a selfless life of service to God and humanity.
“She has also bequeathed credible legacies, as well as numerous off-springs to keep her name alive in the kind pages of history,” he said.
On his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara stressed that the memory of the late Adeline would remain with them forever.
A member of the House of Representatives from Cross River State, Esien Ayi, represented him.
The Prelate of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Most Rev. Nzie Eke, performed the burial rites.
