The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), North Central, has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Benue State. The state’s CAN Chairman, Rev. Akpen Leva, making the donation on behalf of CAN North Central leadership, said the association is worried about killings and displacement of Christians in the state.

A statement by Mr. Sam Tyav, media assistant to Leva, quoted the CAN Chairman as urging the victims to look up to God for divine intervention. He expressed confidence that all the displaced persons would soon go back to their ancestral homes and live normally.

Leva assured the IDPs that the body of Christ in the state and all patriotic citizens are supporting them in the fight against killings by herdsmen.Receiving the food and other items on behalf of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) at LGEA Central Primary School, Ugba, Mrs. Ngudoon Toryila appreciated CAN for its continued support, stressing that the association has been in the forefront of the campaign against killer herdsmen.
