Experts task anti-graft agencies on effective communication
To increase effectiveness at communication and public relations, anti-graft agencies have been implored to strengthen their relationship with the criminal justice actors and the citizens through improved and effective communication for transparency and accountability.
Speaking yesterday in Abuja at a one day stakeholders forum with the theme, Speaking for Anti-Graft agencies with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), organized by the CLEEN Foundation, the former General Secretary to the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Ofam Osigwe stressed the need for proper communication and the right of individuals to know the works and activities of the anti-graft agencies and protecting the right of persons who may be accused especially their right to say their innocent.
Also speaking, Executive Director of CLEEN Foundation, Benson Olugbuo said they are working closely with the EFCC and other anti-graft agencies to consciously promote their image as well as build public confidence and trust for the institutions.
