A former Nigerian Minister one-man protest was Tuesday halted by security men attached to presidential villa.

Oby Ezekwezili, a former minster of Education and co-covener of Bring Back our Girls Group, was on a one-man march on the Nigerian state house, Abuja to protest the killings of 100 persons by suspected herdsmen in plateau communities last weekend.

The Police Command in Plateau on Sunday confirmed the killing of 86 people in attacks on Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking to pressmen, she accused Buhari lack of empathy for victims of the attack by sending the vice president Yemi Osinbajo to deliver his speech to the embattled state.

‘Buhari should stop being without empathy to its citizens.’

‘He has been unfair to the citizens by failing to do what he promised to do’, she said.

She noted that the Buhari's administration has recorded incompetence in the security sector which has resulted to the incessant killings across the nation.

‘The president should stop rewarding incompetence in the fact that security establishments and systems have not prevented the deaths we have been recording in this country as a result of terrorist herdsmen’

She further emphasized that ‘it’s an abomination for the president to acknowledge the killings of many innocent citizen as retaliatory’

The Inspector-General of Police (I-G), , Mr Ibrahim Idris, had however , deployed Special Intervention Force to Plateau to restore peace in Barkin-Ladi, Riyom, Jos South local government areas and other flash points in the state.
