Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, have dedicated their son in church.

The quiet ceremony took place in the presence of family members and a few close friends.

Clips circulating online on Thursday show the couple walking hand in hand to the altar, carrying their baby as the congregation watched and prayers were said over the child.

The pair welcomed their son in November 2025, months after sealing their union in a traditional ceremony earlier in the year.

The church dedication stands as one of their earliest public appearances as parents since announcing the birth.

In the trending videos, 2Baba and Natasha moved solemnly towards the altar while church members looked on. The moment captured a calm, intimate side of the singer, away from the stage lights.

2Baba, famous for classics like African Queen, has remained a subject of public conversation in recent times, especially following changes in his personal life.

His relationship with Natasha drew attention after the end of his marriage to actress Annie Idibia. He later addressed some of the controversies during interviews and public engagements.

The award-winning artiste, who is a father to several children from previous relationships, has in recent interviews reflected on fatherhood.

He admitted he hopes to improve in that role while still keeping certain aspects of his family life private.

“I am doing my thing. I haven’t been the best daddy because, as you know, I’ve missed a whole lot of time. I’ve missed a whole lot of things. Just because I put myself out there, you know, there are so many things that I wish I could rewind and do better, but going forward, I will try to do better. You know, but they (my children) are good, growing amazingly. They had good heads, and I’m proud of them.

“There’s no already-made rule on how to do these things. You have to do your best. You have to be there to strike a balance. You have to attend to what needs to be attended to because there’s no other way about it. There’s no two ways about it, you have to face what you need to face. Family to me is important as long as there’s love and understanding.”
