Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose yesterday boasted that he would be part of the government at the centre in 2019 under an administration of original change.

Fayose also restated his support for his deputy, Prof. Olusola Kolapo, to become the next governor. He urged Ekiti women to support him to continue the good work he (Fayose) has started for the women.

The governor spoke yesterday at Olukayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti, during the celebration of the 2018 International Women Day with the theme “Press for Progress.”

Fayose, who said Kolapo remained his choice, even though there would be primary election for all aspirants, promised to support whoever emerges as the candidate of his party for the forthcoming governorship election.

Fayose is empowering 15000 women with N20,000 each. He said if Kolapo became governor, he would not only
continue to empower women, but would support more women into elective and appointive positions.

“I will be president of Nigeria tomorrow. When it happens, you will remember I told you. Nigeria wants an original change. People are tired of the current All Progressives Congress (APC)- led government. Ekiti, represented by Fayose, would be part of the government at the centre in 2019.

“I was at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and I told them, don’t rig for me but create a level playing field. The 2019 election is very important and this is why INEC must be transparent. They said that Fayose used the army in 2014 governorship election and I tell them to produce evidence. We will make sure they don’t have 10 wards in the coming election. We won’t rig them because we don’t have capacity to rig,” the governor said.
