Ahead of the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2012 election and leading aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusola Oke, has ditched APC for Alliance for Democracy (AD).

Oke, who addressed thousands of supporters and loyalists in Akure, yesterday, hinged his decision on alleged fraud and irregularities that marred the September 3 primary election of the party.

He said: “I was the first person to raise alarm over the giant fraud in that primary. I was later vindicated by the appeal committee, which ruled that the primary be cancelled, and that a new one be conducted where a popular candidate would emerge.

“But Oyegun and his cabal proceeded to submit that name to INEC, thereby killing the dream of Ondo State people in APC to have the true change they have been yearning for.

“I confess to you that the dreams of the founders of the APC is good and laudable. The philosophy behind APC is good but unfortunately some cabal hijacked the soul of the party at the national level.

“They have enthroned injustice over justice, inequality over equity, unfairness over fairness, and therefore they made it impossible for true change to be actualised this time on the platform of APC.”

Though the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) listed Dr. Akin Olowookere as the party’s governorship flag bearer last week, Oke said he would continue to lobby other disgruntled APC leaders to join his new party.

And gradually, the fortune of APC in Ondo State if there is any, is being frittered away.

This is another indication that no Nigerian politician is fighting for the poor, except for their personal interest. What made Chief Oke to leave PDP is playing itself out in APC. He’s not a saint afterall. Why don’t you stay in one party and fight out the injustice as a lawyer instead of jumping from one party to the other like a prostitute. Enough of this macabre dance of shame. Mimiko did the same ,under the doggie of fighting for the poor. Look at where he has landed the state.

Good for all of you idiots who followed your heroes from pdp to apc and continued to hail them as the saviour of Nigeria. Your eyes are being opened gradually to see these vampires (politicians) for what they are – robbers of the public till and that are all the same. When next someone comes and shout change, you will tell them to get lost unless you are condemned to live in ignorance and poverty.

Politicians should shun harlotry in politics. Where lies our hope if politicians jump from one party to the other at the least provocation, or when they fail to have their way? From PDP to APC and then AD. Maybe, it will be APGA in 2020. Who knows? Nigerian politicians are good actors.
