VSF releases N1.62b to Borno government, rebuilds hospitals, schools
The Victims Support Fund (VSF) has commenced the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 20 destroyed public structures and hospitals in three local governments: Gwoza, Mobbar and Ngala. The projects are being executed at the cost of N1.62b.
Presenting the building materials to government in Gwoza, Executive Director, VSF, Prof. Sunday Ochoche, disclosed that the earmarked funds cover building materials and labour. He said the reconstruction would restore governance institutions and normalcy.
The Commissioner, Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Prof. Babagana Umara, noted that inadequate funding has been the most challenge.
