Wakili accuses Bauchi Governor of failure to fulfill campaign promises
Senator Ali Wakili representing Bauchi South in the National Assembly has disclosed that his present face off with Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar is because the latter broke all the campaign promises they made to the electorates and party executives at the local levels.
Wakili who also doubles as the Senate Committee Chairman on Poverty and Social welfare stated this yesterday at his resident in Bauchi while distributing cars to his campaign directors.
He said once these problems are addressed, there would be no rift between Abubakar and members of the National Assembly.
Wakili explained that if the Governor fulfills his promises, “We don’t have any personal problem, we don’t have personal issues with him.”
We campaigned for him, first we nominated him, we ensured his success as the flag bearer and we went to the crannies to ensure that he became governor, so we don’t want him to fail. Once he can redress the problems I mentioned, the reconciliation committee doesn’t need to come to Bauchi,” he said.
