UK-based Augusta Osaigbovo, who was recently accused of trying to kill and traffic her elder sister, Gladys Osaigbovo-Omon, has denied all the allegations, saying she was being framed by her family over her refusal to take up the responsibilities of her family members.

According to Augusta in a petition to the Police, in 2012, Gladys’ daughter Mercy, who lived with her UK framed her with human trafficking but contrary to the reaction of the Nigerian Police who didn’t do thorough investigations before prosecuting her, the British Police carried out investigations for six months and was only invited when her attention was needed.

“I was never detained, prosecuted or jailed as alleged by the Nigerian Police. I was cleared of all allegations and issued a certificate to that effect, which I have attached to this petition. Edgal Imohimi, without conducting any investigation, criminalised and maligned my reputation,” she said.

She further explained that her family members plotted to ruin her due to her refusal to further sacrifice her entire life providing their financial needs by putting an end to the conduit pipe they had become, draining her for 18 of the 23 years in her sojourn in the UK as she has grownup children of her own, who require needed care. “I want to say without fear that the allegations made against me by the Lagos CP, Osaro Okonoboh and Gladys are lies. These are just a figment of their imagination,” she stated.
