Tunisia gives conditions to open air space to Libyan planes

Tunisian Minister of Transport, Mahmoudi Romdhane, said on Wednesday that Tunisia would open its air space to Libyan planes as soon as the security at Libyan airports is tightened.

Romdhane said that a delegation comprising representatives of the Tunisian ministries of Transport, Foreign Affairs and Interior would visit all the Libyan airports to ensure their security and safety were tightened.

He said once the delegation is convinced about the security of the Libyan airports the severed air link would be restored.

The Tunisian authorities on March 24 closed the Tunisian air space to Libyan planes because of the deterioration of security situation in Libya.
