Aadun is a local popular street snack that is peculiar to the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria. Aadun is usually made for eating at festive functions like traditional weddings or naming ceremonies. It has a bright orange colour that comes from the palm oil used in making it.

The taste is beyond words that keep many coming back for more.

Here is how to make Aadun in your home without waiting for that festive moment too much on it.

 Ingredients

  • 1 cup roasted cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chilli pepper
  • ¼ of palm oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Method

1. In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, salt, teaspoon, ground chilli pepper and palm oil. Mix properly to get the ingredients incorporated properly.

2. Allow the mixture to sit for 2-3 hours

3. Once the time is up, mould the mixture into balls or any shape of choice.

Aadun is ready to be served accompanied by a drink of choice if desired.
