Universal Insurance Plc has initiated a mobile application and network platform to facilitate the delivery of financial solutions to make insurance transactions easier for customers.
The products demonstrate the company’s promise of superior value to customers and accessible service while driving financial inclusion. The Managing Director of the underwriting firm, Dr Benedict Ujoatuonu, speaking at the unveiling in Lagos on the significance of the new products, said the mobile application would significantly address challenges associated with making claims.
Ujoatuonu said the application would also respond to claims with the urgency required by insurance policyholders. He also said the Universal Insurance Network Platform would give customers the ability to get a personal accident insurance policy.
According to him, the network platform is aimed at driving insurance penetration and financial inclusion, as well as creating benefits and incentives.
“For a start, we are targeting five million people to benefit from the network in terms of policy security cover and incentives they will get in participating.
“We have also put price tags to reward people who will meet these targets,” he said. Speaking also at the event that gathered more than 300 insurance agents and brokers, the Head Retail Group of the company, Anthony Okafor, said the platform was designed to help policyholders to get coverage and earn incentives.
Uchechukwu said policyholders could also reach out to the company’s claim department in the event of an accident, including injury, permanent disability and death.
