Fast Rising Nigerian Rapper Oladips Dies At 28
Renowned Nigerian pop star Oladipupo Olabode Oladimenji, popularly known as Oladips, has sadly passed away. The news was confirmed through a statement posted on his Instagram page, stating that he left us at exactly 10:14 pm on Tuesday night.
Social media was abuzz with videos circulating of the Lalakukulala crooner appearing to have collapsed while friends surrounded him. Before these videos surfaced, Oladips had taken to his Instagram stories, reaching out for help.
In the post, he mentioned a friend, @onlyonelifetime, expressing concern about not being able to reach them despite multiple phone calls. He emphasized how he disliked being alone at home, especially given his condition.
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family.
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).” the statement read.
The statement revealed that Oladips had been dealing with internal struggles for over two years. His body is now with his family and plans for his funeral will be shared soon.
