Moyo Lawal, Mohbad, Peter Obi, Gang of Lagos top 2023 Google most-search in Nigeria

Search engine giant Google has released the results of its 2023 Year in Search for Nigeria, with Nigerian actress Moyo Lawal, late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and celebrated movie, Gang of Lagos topping the most-searched list for 2023.

Google’s Year in Search is a yearly report that highlights the most popular lists along with the things that people search for to see, learn, and do online.

According to this year’s statistics, Nigerians showed more interest in local politics and lifestyle, with well-known figures such as Moyo Lawal, Peter Obi and Oladips leading the list of most searched people in 2023.

Mohbad, Murphy Afolabi and Saint Obi topped the list of loss in the year.

Just like other platforms, in the musician category, Asake led, followed by Shallipopi and Khaid.

Some of the most popular queries in 2023 include “What is fuel subsidy?”, “Who is the winner of the 2023 presidential election?” and “Who is the governor of Kano state?”. economic affairs of the country and how Google Search was used to learn more about their interests in 2023.
