Entrepreneur Daniel Obum Anigbo, better known as Best Promote, has recounted how the collapse of his polythene factory in Benue State and the closure of his Lagos gadget business forced him to rethink his business operations.

Anigbo said managing businesses between Lagos and Abuja became difficult, prompting him to shut the Lagos operation and focus on his interests in Abuja.

Reflecting on those business setbacks, he said business owners needed to understand that hard work did not always produce immediate results.

“You have to be strong,” he said.

Born on July 1, 1994, and raised in Benue State, Anigbo said he travelled to Dubai after completing his secondary education and spent two years there pursuing technical studies before returning to Nigeria.

He subsequently ventured into business, including polythene production in Benue. The factory eventually folded.

His later phone and gadget business in Lagos presented a different challenge: keeping operations running while managing his commitments in Abuja.

Anigbo said those experiences influenced how he approached subsequent ventures. He identified D Way Water Board, D Way Hotel and Best Island Hotel as businesses under what he described as the Best Group.

He said he now employed people across his businesses, having previously depended on others for support.

“You can’t just win in a day. Winning is a gradual process,” he said.

Beyond his business interests, Anigbo said he had become involved in entertainment through livestreaming, content promotion and social media engagement.

He explained that his interest initially grew out of activities he enjoyed, before developing into efforts to support emerging creators.

According to him, he promotes content he finds interesting and encourages his audience to engage with the people behind it.

“We rise by lifting others,” he said.

Anigbo said he wanted to use his online presence to give emerging entertainers and content creators greater visibility. He described supporting others as part of his approach to both business and entertainment.

He also identified technology as an area he hoped to pursue, alongside developing his existing businesses and entertainment activities.

He expressed an ambition to build ventures that would compete beyond Nigeria, but gave no details of a specific technology project or launch date.
