Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has revealed that Ojesanmi Afeez, popularly known as Salo, is facing medical costs exceeding ₦12 million following his recent shooting.

Salo, a popular TikToker, was reportedly attacked and shot in the leg on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the Lekki area of Lagos State and is currently recovering in a hospital.

In a recent TikTok Live session with content creator Tunde Perry, the actress shared her experience visiting Salo in the hospital, shedding light on the severity of his condition.

She explained that the Lagos State Public Relations Officer (PPRO) intervened on the day of the incident, sending a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to assist.

After witnessing the news online, she quickly reached out to a contact named Abati, who connected her with Mr Tunde, facilitating her visit to the hospital.

Toyin detailed the financial challenges surrounding Salo’s treatment, noting, “The hospital treated him without collecting payment at first, but when they wanted to collect payment, the first amount they collected was ₦12 million. It was not a ‘go come’; it was cash.”

She said friends and colleagues, including M’kido, Sula, Zlatan, Abu Abel, Tekunbi, and Abati, contributed to the initial payment.

“Do you know how much the hospital has collected? Two bullets! Do you think it’s a joke what happened to Salo? He was cold. The ₦12 million is not for all the hospital payments. I left at midnight and went there the next day. I was crying. I knew God had something for Salo’s life. It’s like people don’t understand what happened to Salo because we didn’t come to social media to beg for money or cry.

“It was terrible; Salo was cold. The life support he was placed on was beeping every second. I saw how blood was being transfused into Salo’s body. I saw bullets,” she added.
