Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck, has said the allegations of misogyny levelled against him are unfounded.

Speaking during a recent interview on The Beat FM, Lagos, the hip-hop star addressed backlash over a controversial line in his 2023 hit song “Cast” with Shallipopi, where he rapped about women depending on men for wigs and designer bags.

Odumodublvck brushed off the criticism, calling it “fake.”

He argued that his track record shows he uplifts women in the industry.

“In the last year, I am the artiste that has featured the most women in the game,” he stated. “What kind of misogynist is that? That’s a fake one.”

According to the rapper, he has actively worked to create spaces for female talent, both on and off the mic, noting that his collaborations with female artistes speak louder than the accusations against him.

Despite the heat on social media, Odumodublvck maintained that his intentions have always been to support and not tear down women in the music scene.
