Otun Ekiti in Ekiti State played host to several Nollywood stars on Thursday as actor Odunlade Adekola buried his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola.

The cleric, who passed away in July at the age of 84, was laid to rest after a series of funeral activities held in Ogun and Ekiti states.

The ceremonies opened with a Service of Songs on August 18 at Christ Apostolic Church, Akole, Abeokuta, followed by a Christian wake and lying-in-state on Wednesday, August 20, in Otun Ekiti.

The final rites took place on Thursday, August 21, with interment, a thanksgiving service and a reception held in the town.

The funeral was attended by movie stars Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao and Ireti Osayemi, among others, who joined family members, colleagues and sympathisers to honour the late cleric.

Odunlade, who announced his father’s passing on Instagram in July, has since continued to receive condolence messages from fans and industry colleagues across the country.
