Erockfor drops her third single, honouring her commitment to release one single a month in 2020. This single, hook of which was written with her brothers when she was just eight years old, tells the story of a woman who was wrongfully imprisoned. “I used to watch a lot of crime shows when I was a kid, and I had this fear of being framed for a crime and going to jail,” she says.

Based in Seoul, South Korea, EROCKFOR drew upon her Cameroonian roots to bring this concept to life. The singer-songwriter born and raised in Montreal, Canada, uses her raspy jazz vocals, which have been compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu and Macy Gray, over an Afrobeat to convey the reality of unfair justice systems.

Erockfor released her first single “How Will I Know” in October to rave reviews, and the accompanying music video premiered on Popdust late December 2019. Her second single premiered on MTV Base and was featured in The Guardian Nigeria. Although the title of her third offering is “Go With The Flow”, the song is a prompt to go against the grain and stand up for justice.

Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Go With The Flow’, Erockfor said, “It’s so easy to just go with the flow and remain quiet in the face of injustice. In my opinion, we’re either part of the problem or the solution. We get to pick where we stand. This topic can be uncomfortable for some to take in. So, I sang my lyrics over high-life music, which makes it easier to digest.”
