Russia captures another village near Ukraine’s Pokrovsk

Russia said Sunday its forces had captured Svyrydonivka, another frontline village some 15 kilometres (nine miles) away from the Ukrainian-held logistics hub of Pokrovsk. In a daily briefing, the defence ministry said its army units "liberated the village of Sviridonovka" in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, using the Russian name for the village.
