The promo, designed to encourage a savings culture among Nigerians, saw 50 customers receive ₦5,000 airtime, 50 others win ₦10,000, 30 awarded ₦20,000, 20 lucky winners claim ₦50,000 each, and three customers clinch ₦100,000. The winners were selected through a live draw held in Uyo on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, Maryanne Cephas, Uyo Branch Manager of Parallex Bank, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to rewarding and supporting its loyal customers. “Parallex Bank is here to appreciate our customers. Our interest rates are attractive, and we support both small and large businesses,” she said. Cephas also urged existing customers to introduce others to the bank, emphasising its role in fostering business growth.
She expressed excitement over the enthusiastic participation of customers in Uyo. “Customers in Uyo have really supported Parallex Bank, and in return, we have rewarded many—making one of them a millionaire today. This is just the first round; another draw will be coming soon. Parallex Bank aims to create more millionaires, so now is the time for people to open accounts, save money, and get ready to win,” she added.
Providing details of the draw, Abdulazeez Arogundade, Head of Products at Parallex Bank, disclosed that a total of ₦3.65 million was distributed among 154 winners. He described the initiative as a way to reward customers for their loyalty, especially during challenging economic times.
Arogundade revealed that the promo, which began in October 2024, will run until April 2025, with two more draws scheduled for Abuja in March and Lagos in April, where the grand finale will take place. “Simply open an account with Parallex Bank and save at least ₦10,000 monthly to qualify,” he explained.
A representative of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Uchegbu Chukwuma, commended Parallex Bank for ensuring transparency in the selection process. He praised the bank for conducting the live draws with integrity, ensuring that all participants had a fair chance of winning.
Meanwhile, the grand prize winner, Idara Amos Attai, was overwhelmed with joy, attributing her win to divine favour. “I never expected this; it is truly the Lord’s doing,” she said, expressing gratitude to Parallex Bank for fulfilling its promises. She also believed that the promo would attract more customers to the bank.
Aside from the raffle draw, over 20 participants engaged in a quiz session and won various gift items, adding to the excitement of the event. Parallex Bank continues to strengthen its reputation as a customer-centric institution, rewarding loyalty and promoting financial discipline among Nigerians.
With more draws ahead, customers are encouraged to seize the opportunity to save, win, and become millionaires.
