Mosun Belo-Olusoga

Mosun Belo-Olusoga is a highly respected financial expert, corporate leader, and governance professional with extensive experience in banking, credit, risk management, and pension fund administration. With a career spanning over three decades, she has played a key role in shaping the Nigerian financial landscape through her leadership in both the private sector and non-profit organizations.

Belo-Olusoga’s journey in financial services began at City Bank, where she honed her skills in banking operations, risk management, and strategic leadership. She later joined Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, where she rose to the position of Executive Director. During her tenure at GTBank, she was instrumental in establishing robust credit and risk management frameworks, which strengthened the bank’s financial stability and growth.

Following her successful career at GTBank, she transitioned to Access Bank PLC, where she made history as Chairperson of the Board. Her leadership at Access Bank was marked by strategic innovations, corporate governance excellence, and policies that reinforced the bank’s position as one of the most prominent financial institutions in Africa.

Beyond her executive roles, Belo-Olusoga has continued to impact Nigeria’s corporate and financial sectors through her board memberships in leading organizations. She is currently a Non-Executive Director and board member of several institutions, including: Premium Pensions Limited – One of Nigeria’s foremost pension fund administrators, where she provides strategic oversight to ensure sustainable and efficient pension fund management; MTN Foundation – The social responsibility arm of MTN Nigeria, where she contributes to impactful initiatives in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment; and ActionAid Nigeria – A global non-profit organization committed to eradicating poverty and promoting social justice, where she plays a key role in advocacy and development efforts.

Her governance expertise and commitment to ethical leadership have earned her widespread recognition in the business world.

As a strong advocate for gender diversity and financial inclusion, Belo-Olusoga actively mentors young professionals, particularly women, helping them navigate careers in banking and corporate leadership. She has been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at empowering women in finance and bridging the gender gap in boardrooms.

She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Certified Microfinance Practitioner, further underscoring her expertise in finance, governance, and sustainable development.

Ever Obi

Ever Obi is a seasoned business executive and financial risk manager, currently serving as the Managing Director of Rank Capital (Moni), a YC-backed company revolutionizing community-based financing. Through customer-centric technological innovations, Rank Capital is driving financial inclusion and supporting MSMEs in Africa.

Previously, Ever was the Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of Zedvance Finance, a leading non-bank financial institution and a subsidiary of Zedcrest Capital Group, which was ranked by the Financial Times as Africa’s fifth fastest-growing company in 2022. Throughout his career, he has led strategic development, team building, and digital product innovation, all with a focus on bridging Africa’s massive credit gap and lifting people out of poverty.

With a strong foundation in risk management, Obi has played a key role in setting up robust organizational structures, developing and implementing risk management frameworks, and building risk models that embed sound risk philosophies in the institutions he has worked with. Before Zedvance, he held various risk management roles at Zenith Bank, Polaris Bank, and Access Bank—the latter being Africa’s largest bank by customer base. His expertise spans credit and financial analysis, credit review and monitoring, regulatory reporting, capital adequacy ratio computation, stress testing, and credit portfolio optimization.

At Zedvance, Obi led the development and implementation of digital products tailored for the financially underserved, enabling the company to disburse over $90 million in loans within 18 months. Under his leadership, Zedvance won the Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Award for Best Automated Loan Origination and Processing Company of the Year 2020, recognizing its efforts in keeping financial channels open to customers during the lockdown.

Beyond finance, Ever Obi is also a writer, with published works in Nigeria and the UK. In 2022, he was a panelist at the Oxford Literary Festival, where he discussed his writing journey and the significance of place and culture in literature. He has contributed op-eds to major newspapers, mentoring young professionals through pieces such as Letters to a Young Risk Manager, which has been widely read and shared.

In 2023, Obi co-developed an innovative financial solution—The Green Future Reclamation Fund—designed to address mine reclamation challenges in developing countries. This initiative reached the finals of the Kellogg-Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge, where he presented to investors in London. He has also published articles advocating for environmental sustainability and human welfare.

For his outstanding contributions to risk management and the financial services sector, Ever Obi is a 2024 recipient of the Global Recognition Award. He is also a recipient of the National Institute of Credit Administration’s 2024 Most Astute MD/CEO of the Year for Business Innovativeness and Tactical Management.

He holds a master’s degree in risk management, an MBA from TIAS School of Business and Society (Netherlands), and is a Chartered Risk Manager.
