Cowry Treasurers has launched its new Mutual Funds designed to offer the advantages of liquidity from the ease of subscription to redemption of units as well as capital preservation.

This would be achieved with the adoption of a well-diversified risk management system including a dynamic and sound asset allocation policy.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director, Cowry Treasurers, Charles Sanni stated that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Russian-Ukraine war, climate change, and supply chain disruptions has further created fears, anxiety and expectations among nations with slow growth and inflation, which urgently needs solutions to the myriad of issues.

He disclosed that the financial and investment space despite the volatility, uncertainty and ambiguous environment remained a critical and integral pillar for growth and development.

He noted that the desire and well-being of individuals, companies and nations are anchored on how opportunities are identified and harnessed with an assurance of skills, expertise, professionalism and understanding of an effective risk management system in a sound IT-driven environment.

“These strategic hallmarks of vision, creativity, expertise, skills management and IT resources, which are required in meeting stakeholders’ expectations are what essentially forms the bedrock of the success of the Cowry group, which proudly is being taken to a new height by the launch of the Mutual Funds,” Sanni said.

He added: “The confidence of Stakeholders in Cowry is evident and it is again largely reinforced today by our financials, the profile and size of our customers, which includes multinational institutions, large corporates in different sectors like banks, PFAs, manufacturers, trade, parastatals, agencies, HNIs, and MSMEs, among others.”

He further stated that the launch of the Mutual Fund was the beginning of many products that would be introduced to investors to cater for their diverse and changing needs.

“Today, we are gathered here to unveil the Cowry Fixed Income Fund, Cowry Equity Fund and Cowry Balanced Fund and they are open ended Funds. The Funds have been approved by the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Parties to the Funds are reputable and credible Institutions”.

Also speaking at the occasion, the founder of the firm, Mr. Johnson Chukwu stated that the company was in the business of helping people to create wealth and institutions that will outlive its founder.
