Wema Bank is set to host the NBC Trade Fair in Ikeja, Lagos, from October 24 to 26, 2025, at the Whitestone Event Centre.
Following the success of its Island edition earlier this year, the fair is returning to Lagos with an even bigger and more vibrant experience for entrepreneurs, shoppers, and small business owners.
The three-day event will feature businesses and vendors from various sectors, including fashion, food, skincare, and lifestyle, providing a platform for them to showcase their products, connect with customers, and explore new opportunities.
Visitors can also take advantage of on-site account opening services with Wema Bank, enjoy spin-the-wheel giveaways, and win exciting prizes when they shop with their Wema Bank or ALAT debit cards.
In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wema Bank will offer free breast cancer screening for the first 300 women at the fair.
Additionally, attendees will have access to an affordable healthcare plan for as little as ₦1,200 through the bank’s female proposition, Sara by Wema.
The Wema NBC Trade Fair underscores Wema Bank’s ongoing commitment to empowering women, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and driving financial inclusion across Nigeria.
Recently, Wema Bank extended its Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) empowerment drive beyond Nigeria, as it partnered with NBC to host the Ghana edition of its women-focused trade fair.
The two-day event, which held on October 4 and 5, 2025, took place at The Palms Convention Centre, Accra. It brought together a vibrant mix of vendors in fashion, food, skincare, and lifestyle, creating a platform for women-led businesses to showcase their products, attract customers, and build strategic connections.
Beyond commerce, the fair also offered free BVN registration, paid NIN registration, instant account opening, virtual naira and dollar cards, and other financial services. Attendees also enjoyed giveaways, spin-the-wheel games, exclusive gift items, and access to Wema Bank’s Sara community for women entrepreneurs.
Customers who shop with Wema Bank debit cards at the fair stand a chance to win rewards, while new customers who open an account ahead of the event can unlock additional benefits through the ALAT app.
According to the bank, the initiative was designed to deepen financial inclusion, support women-led enterprises, and equip SMEs with the resources needed to thrive in competitive markets.
Last week, Wema announced it had received all requisite regulatory approvals for its N50 billion private placement capital raise.
The bank said this is in addition to the earlier N150 billion rights issue that was successfully completed in September 2025.
The bank now has a total of N264.87 billion in qualifying capital, above the minimum requirement of N200 billion for a commercial bank with national authorisation.
