Tatum Bank launches new digital platforms to boost financial access

Tatum Bank has announced the rollout of a new set of digital banking channels aimed at expanding financial access and improving service delivery for both individual and business customers in Nigeria.

The launch, which took place on August 7, 2025, in Abuja, includes the Tatum Mobile App, a Corporate Internet Banking platform, and point-of-sale (POS) machines for merchants.

The bank stated that the introduction of these platforms is part of its broader strategy to improve financial inclusion by providing more accessible and flexible tools for banking.

According to the bank, the mobile application allows users to manage their accounts, initiate transfers, and access support services through a streamlined interface.

“For us, this is about giving people greater control and flexibility in how they manage their finances,” said Mr. Niyi Adeseun, Managing Director of Tatum Bank.

“Our digital platforms reflect our customer-first philosophy, bringing modern banking closer to the people and empowering businesses with tools they can trust.”

For business clients, the bank’s Corporate Internet Banking platform is designed to facilitate financial transactions and support operational efficiency remotely.

The POS deployment targets micro and small enterprises, enabling on-the-spot payments and encouraging digital adoption among merchants who may not yet be fully integrated into formal financial systems.

Tatum Bank said that these services are part of its effort to address gaps in financial inclusion, particularly among Nigeria’s unbanked and underbanked populations.

The bank also disclosed plans to open additional client centres in Ibadan and Port Harcourt in the coming months, aimed at complementing its digital services with physical presence in key locations.

While the bank continues to push forward with its digital transformation agenda, it says it remains focused on ensuring that customers can rely on its platforms for convenience and secure transactions.
