President of the Kings College Old Boys Association, Dr Leke Oshunniyi, has called on alumni members to actively support national growth by building strong networks and using their experiences to create opportunities for others.

Speaking at the 20th anniversary of the Class of 2005 at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, said it is imperative to support the government in rebuilding the education sector

Similarly, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Ali-Balogun, praised the old boys for their support to the school, urging them
to extend their contributions to the state and the nation.

“Let us use our experience and expertise to impact Lagos and inspire future generations,” he said. The Principal, Mr Magaji Zachariah, expressed his appreciation to the group for the projects, saying the team has shown true commitment to the school’s progress.

Chairman of the anniversary committee, Mr Iberedem Ekure, urged the old boys to reconnect with friends and keep supporting their alma mater.

“I urge everyone to use this opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, show appreciation to our teachers who laid the foundation for us, and take the time to think about what the next 10 to 20 years will look like,” Ekure stated.

Some of the old students, while reliving their experiences, said the college served as a unifying factor, bringing people of diverse races together without any bitterness or rancour, pleading that the culture of oneness and togetherness will return.
