Expert tasks Nigerians on healthy living for improved productivity

An expert, Prof. Adewale Baderinwa, has urged Nigerians to prioritise personal health for improved productivity.

The professor of alternative medicine made the appeal during a media briefing at the weekend in Lagos.

He described Nigeria as a blessed country with great potential to lead other African nations in the health sector.

Baderinwa submitted that Nigeria as the most populous nation currently leads the continent with the highest yearly Gross Domestic Products (GDP) of about $432.3 billion, making it the strongest economy in Africa.

To sustain this position, the don said the populace must pay personal attention to their individual health.

“When you are not sound in health, everything about you will be affected; from your looks to your work output. If care is not taken, your entire body system could shut down and this could affect the entire productivity of the country,” he advised.

He, therefore, advised that no matter the profession one is engaged in, the level of one’s productivity to the GDP depends largely on the state of the individual’s health condition.
