FRSC on campaign to instill safety tips in children
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has encouraged children to be safety conscious in their dealings with adults and society at large.
This encouragement came from the Airport Unit command on Monday in an event to celebrate the children.
The children were drawn from four schools within the Airport-Oshodi area consisting of students from Dominican College, Mafoluku, Oshodi; Div-Help Primary, Arowojobe, Oshodi; Murtala Mohammed International Airport school, Ikeja and Toddler Town pre-school, Ikeja in Lagos.
The students were taught safety measures, drills, and match passes and also engaged in a quiz.
Speaking at the event, Unit Commander, Airport, Jayeola Fatuase, said children contribute a lot to reducing road traffic crashes in the country.
She said the theme of the event is ‘To Become Road Safety Hero’, which is to inculcate the business of safety in children at a young age.
She noted that the vision of the Corp is to eradicate road safety crashes in the country thereby passing the vision to the offspring is necessary at this celebration.
