From One Guinness Record Holder To Another, SoulYin Hails Hilda Baci

WORLD-record holding Nigerian disc jockey, Oyinmiebi Asu, professionally known as DJ SoulYin, has congratulated her fellow maverick Hilda Baci for breaking the Guinness World Record for longest cooking marathon by an individual.

SoulYin, who holds a world record for the longest DJ set – 243 hours and 30 minutes (11 days) as well as the first Nigerian woman to do so, also tasked the Federal Government to confer national honours on all Nigerian world record breakers.

SoulYin is a Nigerian-American DJ, producer, and entrepreneur. She is the first Black female DJ to hold a Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in a single country.

SoulYin has performed all over the world, including at major festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland. She is also the founder of the SoulYin Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational and mentorship opportunities to young people in Africa.

SoulYin was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States when she was 10 years old. She began DJing at the age of 16 and quickly became one of the most sought-after DJs in the country.

In 2017, she set a Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in a single country, playing for over 24 hours straight. SoulYin has since performed all over the world, including at major festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland.
