Naomi Campbell Leaves Jaws Dropping During Valentino’s Spring 2019 Couture Show

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been around long enough to earn the respect of many fashion lovers and critics and rightfully so.

Once again, Campbell has proved that she brings the “haute” to haute couture. The runway model had jaws dropping when she made an unexpected appearance during Valentino’s Spring 2019 couture show and closed it.

What makes her closing show appearance even a bigger deal is the fact that she is returning to the fashion powerhouse after 14 years! Campbell strutted her stuff at Valentino’s Fashion Week show in Paris yesterday, January. 23 and guests were left in awe.

The star was seen in a custom Pierpaolo Piccioli design (aka Valentino’s creative director) and you can best believe that she brought the heat to the catwalk season as she was dressed to the nines.

While the sheer, all-black gown that featured a billowing ruffled skirt and over-the-top sleeves is not something you may wear randomly as it showed off Campbell’s nipples, it was definitely a statement-making piece.

Twitter users could not hide their excitement at the appearance of the 48-year-old on the runway so much so that the Models of Diversity Twitter account summed it up perfectly, writing,

“The one and only Naomi Campbell closed the Valentino Couture show. Over 30 years and still dominating the runway.”

The model took notice, and quote tweeted with endearing emojis. She later posted a short and sweet note about the fashion powerhouse’s show on social media.

“Closing Maison Valentino’s Spring 2019 Couture show. Congratulations on a beautiful evening,” she wrote.

Asides Campbell’s gown that was the talk of the night, the runway featured an explosion of florals, bold colors and wild silhouettes.
