Honey, Egg and Apple Cider Vinegar Mask

This honey, egg and apple cider vinegar mask is an excellent treatment for dry hair and also works for all hair types. This mask is a hydrating treatment that nourishes the hair without weighing down its strands.

All you need to make this mask is a teaspoon of honey, one egg and a tablespoon of ACV; you can choose to double or half the recipe depending on your hair’s length. Combine this into a small bowl and apply to your hair, leave to set for 30 to 40 minutes before rinsing off.

Coconut Oil, Sugar and Essential Oil Mask

If you start to notice flakes on your scalp, this may be as a result of extreme dryness. Use this exfoliating hair mask as a treatment to remove and reduce scalp flakes, the sugar in this mask breaks down glycolic acid and dissolves dead skin cell. While coconut oil has anti-inflammatory benefits, peppermint oil promotes circulation to the scalp and tea tree oil also has antifungal, antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

For this mask, you would need two tablespoons of raw, unrefined coconut oil, four teaspoons of raw sugar, five drops of peppermint oil and two drops of tea tree oil.

Mix them in a small bowl and using your fingers or a hair colour brush, apply this mix to your damp hair making sure to rub into your scalp. Once correctly applied, gently massage for 1-3 minutes then leave to sit for 15-20 minutes.

Honey, ACV and Coconut Oil Mask

For dull hair, try a honey, coconut oil and ACV mask to enhance glossiness. This hair mask is excellent for all hair types and keeps the hair moisturised and healthy, making it look even better.

For this, you would need raw organic honey, apple cider vinegar and coconut oil. Mix these in a bowl and apply evenly to damp hair. Leave on for 20-30 minutes then wash with shampoo and warm water.

Cinnamon and Coconut Oil Mask

A great hair mask for short hair, this cinnamon-based mask helps stimulate blood circulation and promotes hair growth and strength.

The ingredients for this include equal parts of cinnamon and coconut oil. Blend them and apply the mask to your hair roots. Next, massage into your scalp and leave to sit for 30 to 40 minutes before rinsing out with warm water.

Green tea and Apple Cider Vinegar Mask

For those who suffer from scalp irritation, the green tea and ACV mask is exactly what you need. This hair mask has antioxidants and nutrients which calms and rebalances an irritated scalp. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which help soothe and hydrate a dry scalp.

One cup of green tea, two drops of peppermint oil and one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Mix them well, massage into your scalp and leave to sit for about five minutes before rinsing.

Egg White and Lemon Mask

For those with greasy hair, an egg mask would definitely work wonders.

Use an egg white and juice from an evenly sliced lemon. Smooth this mix over your hair from roots to ends and leave to set for between 30 minutes to one hour. Finally, rinse with warm water and dry with a clean towel.
