Not only are they refreshing, but they are also a healthy, tasty alternative to soft drinks and can be enjoyed alongside every meal.
All you need for a great day is the perfect glass of lemonade using this recipe:
Ingredients
- Sugar
- Water
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Cold water to dilute
Method
- Start by making simple syrup. To do this, place some sugar and water in a small saucepan and allow to simmer. Stir thoroughly until the sugar completely dissolves and remove from heat.
- Next, juice your lemons using a juice squeezer.
- Pour the juice and sugar water mix into a serving pitcher. Add 2-3 cups of cold water and taste. You can choose to add some more water if you prefer it more diluted. Add some straight lemon juice to the mix if it’s too sweet.
- Refrigerate and serve cold with some ice and sliced lemons.
- Enjoy with some toast slices or any meal of your choice.
