Easy Solutions For A Long Night

Long nights have happened to most people. These could be as a result of studying, research or just hangover from partying all night. You wake up feeling like a crane has been dropped on your body. These feelings are totally normal.

To help you get through one of these mornings, here are some tips.

1. Water
When you stay up at night, your body becomes more dehydrated than usual and this is because your body is used to repairing your system at night when you sleep. Drinking enough water in the morning fills your system with enough fluid, this helps to decrease the dizziness which dehydration might have induced.

2. Sprite
Chugging down a bottle of Sprite also helps in rebooting your body’s system. Studies show that when you’ve had a long night the last thing you might want to take is a cup of coffee because coffee acts as a catalyst to boost energy stored and usually, the mornings after a long night

3. Ginger or Peppermint Tea
Although the previous study found Sprite may be more effective than herbal teas, other studies suggest sipping on ginger or peppermint tea is the perfect soothing brew for hangover-related nausea and stomachache. A 2003 study published in the American Journal of Physiology and a 2008 study published in Prescrire International both found the teas can reduce nausea and motion sickness when used appropriately.

4. Asparagus
While the spring vegetable may not be the food craving we have after a few drinks, asparagus may actually protect our body from long nights. It is the biological functions of asparagus that can help alleviate alcohol hangover while protecting liver cells.
