Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, has scored big at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) as his series, Seven Doors, picked up 11 nominations.

The nominations were announced on Sunday, with Adebayo sharing the news on Monday on Instagram.

The 46-year-old actor called it a major milestone for the team behind the production.

“Seven Doors” was nominated in major categories including Best Indigenous Language (West Africa), Best Lead Actor for Femi Adebayo, Best Lead Actress for Chioma Akpotha, Best Supporting Actor for Aliu Gafar, and Best Director shared by Femi Adebayo, Adebayo Tijani, and Tope Adebayo.

Other categories include Best Sound and Sound Design (Pius Fatoke, Tolu Obanro Tyanx, and Oludamilola Aluko Adewale), Best Scripted Series (Femi Adebayo), Best Writer (TV Series) (Adebayo Tijani, Yinka Laoye, and ‘Gbemiga “The General” Yombo), Best Make-Up (Onilogbo Hakeem Effect), Best Art Direction (Olatunji Afolayan), and Best Music Score (Tolu Obanro Tyanx).

In his post, Adebayo thanked his cast, crew, and fans, describing the nominations as a result of hard work, passion, and talent.

“Your dedication, passion, and talent made this moment possible,” he wrote.

He also urged fans to vote for “Seven Doors” in the ‘Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa)’ category to help bring home the win.

The 11th edition of the AMVCAs will be held later this year, celebrating excellence in African film and television.
