Skincare isn’t only for women, men aren’t sun-burn and acne proof. Fortunately and unfortunately, the skincare world is a maze, and it’s getting more complex by the minute. It may be difficult to start on a skincare journey. These few skincare tips will help you transform your man’s dull skin into god-status finesse.
- Start slow: it’s easy to get overwhelmed when there are too many steps. Most men can’t even remember which comes first, the toner or serum. If you’re trying to indoctrinate your significant other into skincare, start with the absolutely necessary items. For starters, a three-step routine will do; Cleaner, toner and moisturizer.
- Always use spf: as he gets into it, protect him from sunburns and skin cancer with a sunscreen of spf 50 or higher. Sunscreens make all the difference. It can correct discolouration, prevent dark spots, rashes and irritation.
- Make him wash his face twice daily: washing your face in the morning is a given, but not many men remember to take a shower at night. That’s where you come in. Enforce compulsory night showers and let him take off the day’s irt and grease with a mild, non-stripping face wash.
- Protect in the morning, treat at night: many men like to get up and be on the move, so it’s wise to adjust his skincare routine to his schedule. This means using actives at night, and keeping the morning routine much simpler. A longer nighttime routine can be soothing and rewarding after a long day, plus it’ll provide ample couple bonding time.
- Don’t forget to compliment him: seeing is believing, and you may have to make your boyfriend see the difference. Everyone loves compliments; they’re an immediate confidence booster. Tell him how his skin pops and how smooth his face feels, he’ll surely get addicted.
