How To Treat Skin Reactions Using Essential Oils

It’s definitely that time of the year for all things jolly and beautiful. Skin reactions are not the glaring traits you want to rock in your holiday pictures.

Essential oils can be obtained by extracting a plant’s compounds. Do you know by using the right essential oils you can get rid of skin reaction before the events of the holidays unfolds?

Below are helpful tips to get your glow back:

Peppermint essential oil

This essential oil helps in treating skin rashes because it has cooling and anti-inflammatory properties. Add peppermint essential oil to your bath water to help provide skin relief or add the peppermint oil to a carrier oil then rub on the affected skin area.

A Carrier oil is used to dilute essential oils before they are applied to the skin.

Lavender essential oil

Research has shown that lavender essential oil is effective to treat allergic skin reactions. It can naturally treat skin allergic reactions like bed bug rashes and insect bites as it has anti-inflammatory properties.


Chamomile essential oil

This oil has relaxing properties and which provides quick relief from itchy rashes from allergic reactions. Mix up chamomile essential oil in a carrier oil to get rid of eczema. Apply the oil on the affected area daily.

Tea tree essential oil

Tea tree essential oil helps to reduce inflammation which makes it a very effective remedy for allergic skin reactions. Mix the tea oil in a carrier oil to treat skin reaction and eczema.
Take a cotton wool and soak it in the mixed oil and apply the soaked wool to the affected skin area.

Geranium essential oil

This oil helps to soothe itchy skin caused by an allergic reaction especially bug bites. Add the geranium oil to a carrier oil and apply to the affected area daily.
