Jordyn Woods Called Out For Playing The Race Card

Reality TV star and model, Jordyn Woods has been in the news a lot in recent times and not for the best of reasons.

The 21-year-old was recently involved in a cheating scandal when she kissed Tristan Thompson, who happened to be the baby daddy as well as the boyfriend (at the time) of Khloe Kardashian (sister to Woods’ best friend, Kylie Jenner).

Following the scandal, Kardashian split from Thompson and Woods moved out of Jenner’s home. Woods later went on Jada Pinkett Smith’s show, “Red Table Talk” and gave her own story about the incident but her account only seemed to infuriate Kardashian further.

Woods blamed her action on alcohol and also publicly apologised to the Kardashian-Jenner family who has been very supportive of her in times past but this was not enough to get her back in the family’s circle.

Woods flew down to Nigeria last week to attend the Homecoming festival and during her visit, she made more comments to address the scandal.

Speaking about the scandal, Woods opened up about how she felt when she was bullied. She said,

“My little sister was bullied in school and I wanted to show her that if I was bullied by the world you can [get through it],” she said in a video that was captured by audience members. I understood for the first time what it’s like being a black woman in society, and how we can be so disrespected and nobody can really understand to that extent until you have to live it.”

However, fans are not buying the race card as they took to social media to slam Woods. Many accused Woods of trying to play the abused black woman card rather than own up to her actions. As some also pointed out, Woods was making the incident seem like she is just realising she is black and not white while others reminded her that the issue was about cheating with someone else’s man and not race.
