Kylie Jenner has been heavily criticised since Forbes bestowed upon her the title of “self-made billionaire”.

Many do not agree she is self-made since she has the size of her family’s wealth, fame and social media platform to acquire her wealth.

Now, the world’s youngest billionaire is firing back at her critics as she says Forbes got it exactly right. The 21-year old fired back at her detractors telling Interview Germany,

“There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth. That is the category that I fall under.”

The makeup mogul claims that all of the money used to create her billion-dollar enterprise, Kylie Cosmetics, was her own. She said,

“I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15. I used 100 percent of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited.”

Admitting that she did perhaps have a distinct advantage on the marketing front, she said,

“I am a special case because before I started Kylie Cosmetics, I had a huge platform and lots of fans.”

On what comes next, Jenner said,

“I now want to focus on giving back to people and doing things that I’m passionate about.”

It would be recalled that when Jenner achieved billionaire status, she took over from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest ever who was 23 when he achieved the feat.
