Five People Who Are Young and Killing It!

Ever since the 90s, we have heard quotes spurring children to work hard because they are termed as “the leaders of tomorrow”. Well, they did listen and are moving strongly in that stride. According to Forbes list of 30 under 30, which is basically a list of young people under the age of 30 who have achieved marvelous feats, we have curated a list of the young bloods who have made their mark in the sands of time.

19-year-old Umanazu not only got accepted into all eight Ivy league schools in 2016, she was also the youngest researcher at Columbia University lab in 2015 at age 16 where she worked with Ph.D. and master’s students. The Harvard student, as well as a finalist in the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search, is on the list because of her discovery of the nanoclay ingredient called attapulgite. The ingredient when added to cement slurries, improves the undersea cement seals that keep offshore oil wells from leaking.

From Moonlight to the spotlight, Sanders since his breakout in the revolutionary award-winning movie, has graced magazine covers and has been immersed in fashion campaigns. Playing the controversial character of teenage Chiron, he portrays the life of a young gay man dealing with his mother’s drug addiction and cruel school bullies. The 21-year-old recently scored a lead role in The Equalizer 2 alongside the legendary Denzel Washington.

20-year-old Sidney Royel Selby III, popularly known as Desiigner, took the world by storm with one of the biggest tracks of 2016, Panda which reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song also spent 40 weeks on the charts and went triple platinum. It had more drive when Kanye West sampled the song in his album The Life of Pablo. At the moment he is signed to G.O.O.D Music and DEF Jam as he takes on the world one track at a time.

They say great things come in small packages and the same can be said of the 20-year-old four-time Olympic gold medal winner and 10-time world championship gold medal winner. Winning her fourth gymnastic title in 2016 was groundbreaking as it made Byles the first woman to win four all-around national titles since 1974. Byles is on a roll business wise with endorsement deals with Nike, Kellogg’s, Hershey’s to owning her line of gymnastic equipment.

Describing himself on his website as, “The young internationally renowned artist making colorful, raw, street art.” Grey is represented by Miami’s Avant Gallery. He started his artistic journey at the age of 10 and had his first commissioned work at the age of 13. He has gone on to paint murals at the Four Seasons in Dubai and outside the Cipriani building in Abu Dhabi. 17-year-old Grey’s most circulated work, the Queen Amy has appeared in galleries and private viewings worldwide. His work has been exhibited at venues in London, Vancouver, Miami, Los Angeles, and Dubai.
