Nigerian award-winning singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has publicly celebrated his daughter, Imade Adeleke, after she emerged the winner of a talent show at her school.
The development became public after Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, shared clips from the school event on her Snapchat page. The videos showed Imade performing on stage as part of the school’s talent competition, which featured several pupils. Her performance earned her the top prize at the event.
Raheem Okoya, son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya, was invited to present awards to the winners at the talent show.
In celebration of Imade’s win, Davido took his daughter out for a special day together, sharing moments from the outing on his Instagram page. The singer posted a series of photos and videos showing himself and Imade driving around Lagos and visiting different locations.

Captioning one of the posts, Davido wrote: “arealimadeadeleke our talent show celebratory lunch.”
Imade has always been in the spotlight. Her mother has frequently shared moments from her life on social media, and the young girl has often been described by fans as confident and impressive for her age.
One such moment was her appearance as the little bride at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in Lagos.
Davido, one of Africa’s most successful music exports, is known for openly expressing affection for his children despite the intense scrutiny surrounding his personal life. The singer has repeatedly stated in interviews and online posts that fatherhood plays a central role in his life, often sharing moments with his children on social media, despite a demanding music career.
Imade Adeleke is Davido’s first daughter, and was born in 2015. Her parents have also been involved in public disagreements and legal battles over custody and parental responsibilities over the years. Despite this, Imade’s personal milestones and achievements continue to attract positive reactions whenever they are shared publicly.
