Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is expected to appear before a United Kingdom court as his sexual offence case remains active.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that his plea and trial preparation hearing remains scheduled for September 15, 2026, at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS Press Office said.

A plea and trial preparation hearing allows a defendant to enter a plea and helps the court address issues ahead of a possible trial.
The CPS did not confirm whether the entertainer remains in custody or has been granted bail.

Clarification has also been sought from Snaresbrook Crown Court over his present custody status, but no response had been received at the time of filing this report.

The development comes amid unverified reports that Poco Lee had been released from custody and that the complainant had withdrawn from the case.

Other online posts claimed that the matter had been settled outside court.

However, neither the court nor the CPS had confirmed those claims at the time of filing this report.

Poco Lee is facing five charges comprising attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The court had earlier confirmed that a reporting restriction was in place to protect the complainant’s identity under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.

The dancer travelled to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert held at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. The allegations remain subject to determination by the court.
