Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is set to appear before a London court on September 15 over an alleged assault.
The entertainer is currently being held on remand in the United Kingdom and is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court at 10 am for a plea hearing.
According to the founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti, Poco Lee is expected to enter either a guilty or not-guilty plea during the proceedings.
Kuti said he would attend the hearing to support the entertainer, while urging the public to allow the legal process to take its course.
Details of the alleged assault have not been fully disclosed. Poco Lee remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by the court.
