Nick Cannon, known for his role as the spokesperson and temporary replacement for Jamie Foxx during his undisclosed health scare, has decided to defer to Foxx for any updates regarding his condition.

In an interview with “Extra’s” Billy Bush, Cannon stated that as a friend, he respects Foxx’s privacy and refrains from prying into his health matters. Cannon had offered to act as a spokesperson for Foxx but was politely declined by Foxx and his team.

Cannon emphasized that the information shared publicly is the information they choose to disclose, and he expressed his support by sending prayers and positive energy. He assured fans that when Foxx feels ready, he will address them in his unique way. Despite Cannon’s initial announcement that Foxx was awake and alert, the details of Foxx’s actual condition remain unclear.

However, it is known that he was unable to complete filming his Netflix film “Back in Action,” leading to the use of body doubles. Cannon also temporarily took over hosting duties on the reality game show “Beat Shazam” with the blessings of Foxx and his daughter Corinne, who co-hosted the show.

Cannon clarified that his role on the show is temporary, as Foxx is expected to return. The public’s concern for Foxx’s health prompted the announcement of a new music-centred series, “We Are Family,” which will be hosted and executive produced by Foxx and Corinne.

Throughout the interview, Cannon expressed his admiration for Foxx’s professionalism and privacy, highlighting his handling of the situation with great respect.
